Alternatives al SQL*Plus: gqlplus
As you know if you have used sqlplus, it is notoriously difficult to correct typing errors and other mistakes in your SQL statements. sqlplus does give you ability to use external editor to edit a statement, but only the last statement you typed. gqlplus solves this problem by providing the familiar command-line editing and history as in tcsh or bash shells, and table/column-name completion, while otherwise retaining compatibility with sqlplus. Thus, no user training is needed - simply use gqlplus instead of sqlplus. In addition, configuration/installation is trivial: gqlplus is a single binary compiled executable (written in C), so all you need to do is download it and put it anywhere in your PATH. After that, you'll be ready to use it.
You can download in http://gqlplus.sourceforge.net/
Then install it as follows:
$ tar -zxvf gqlplus* $ cd gqlplus-1.12/ $ sudo ./configure $ sudo make # sudo make install
To connect to Oracle server use it as follows:
$ gqplus "user/password"
He necessitat instal.lar els curses:
$ sudo apt-get install ncurses-dev
En el procés de make install m'ha donat un error i m'he quedat aquí. Llegeixo el fitxer README:
BUILDING AND INSTALLING GQLPLUS To unpack gqlplus, download the tar/compressed file gqlplus-1.10.tar.gz and type: % gunzip -c gqlplus-1.10.tar.gz | tar xvf - % cd gqlplus-1.10 The executable is called `gqlplus'. Prebuilt executables are provided for Linux (Intel) and Solaris (Sparc) in the respective subdirectories. Only the Linux executable has been tested; I don't have access to testing environment for any other platforms. To build gqlplus for another UNIX-like platform, type: % ./configure % make The executable gqlplus will be built in the current directory. NOTE: I suggest you _don't_ run `make install' since it may overwrite your existing readline, and is useless anyway, since the only thing to be installed is the gqlplus binary. You can do this by hand. gqlplus uses the GNU Readline Library to achieve its functionality. Version 4.3 of the library is provided with gqlplus, therefore the distribution is self-contained (it does not depend on readline being installed on the system).
