LibreCAD is 2D only. FreeCAD does 3D and solids. Per tant, per a CNC ja m'anava bé LibreCAD, però ara si vull dissenyar per a impressores 3D necessito FreeCAD.

FreeCAD is a parametric 3D modeler made primarily to design real-life objects of any size. Parametric modeling allows you to easily modify your design by going back into your model history and changing its parameters. FreeCAD is open-source and highly customizable, scriptable and extensible.

Adding the PPA and installing FreeCAD from the console

Type (or copy-paste) these commands in a console to add the PPA and install FreeCAD along with the documentation:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:freecad-maintainers/freecad-daily

Then:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get upgrade

Si todavía no conoces FreeCAD, puedes aprender fácilmente con este curso… ¡y da alas a tu imaginación! Una vez tengas tu diseño listo, deberás exportarlo en formato STL y abrirlo en un programa de laminación, como cura, para dar los parámetros de impresión y generar un archivo .gcode, que será el que le de las ‘órdenes’ a la impresora para imprimir el objeto.
